since the 21st century, electronic technology has shown more and more convenience and quality in people’s daily life and operation; at the same time, many redundant work steps have been solved to a large extent. as the main configuration system of electronic products, the switch button is used in many electronic fields; with different application environments, the function of each button is different….
we responded to the customer needs of this switch button and presented the initial customization difficulties:
- the single-stroke button structure of one pressure and one control cannot meet the product requirements, and it is necessary to follow the dual-stroke button structure;
- when the original button press force is too large, the adjustment of the force can not achieve rebound;
now requires that after pressing to the end, the silicone also needs to rebound to resist the plastic keycap to ensure that the plastic key is flat with the chassis.

In response to the above problems, ES engineers repeatedly tested during the evaluation process to finally develop a feasible solution to maximize the customer’s needs:
- the inner and outer walls, contact bumps, etc. are made of silicone in all directions to ensure good elasticity;
- structurally, the inner and outer walls are perpendicular to the substrate;
- the vertical distance between the bottom of the contact bump and the bottom of the substrate is 6mm.

compared with the traditional single-stroke switch button, this silicone button adopts a double straight wall structure design, which can realize the dual stroke function, and then achieve the technical effect that the button can complete two different functions with one down pressure; at the same time, the use of silicone oblique wall itself squeeze effect to ensure the smooth rebound of the button; the sensitivity of the pressure degree, the pressure feel and the life of the button have been greatly improved. after the customer installed test, the effect is good.
In addition, because of its unique function, the current double-stroke silicone button is widely used in consumer electronic products – electronic keyboard components, ES Dongcheng also applied for a national utility model patent for this button, patent number: CN202020656248.4
