Charging dock compatibility is one of those requirements that is easy to overlook until the case is already in production. For the PAX-A910 Series, the terminal has to return to its dock after every shift, which means the case must not add thickness or geometry that prevents proper seating. At the same time, the paper roll needs to be accessible without removing the cover, and cable ports must remain usable.
We addressed these constraints at the mold design stage rather than adjusting after trial molding. The terminal's dock interface, paper roll compartment, and cable port positions were mapped and used as fixed reference points for the mold geometry. Wall thickness was controlled around the dock contact area to ensure proper seating, and the case shape was kept slim through the body and base. The anti-slip texture was engraved into the mold cavity, and the silicone compound was formulated with UV stabilizers and anti-aging additives to resist yellowing and hardening over extended use. This is a brand-customer customization case, not a product for sample sale. Brands developing similar protective solutions can begin with a validation batch of 100 pieces, with all tooling, molding, and inspection completed in-house.
1. Dock-Compatible Mold Design for Charging Terminals : The terminal's charging dock interface is treated as a fixed constraint during mold design, so the case does not interfere with proper seating. Wall thickness around the contact area is controlled to maintain docking reliability.
2. Paper Roll Access Without Removing the Cover : The case geometry is designed around the paper roll compartment, allowing roll changes while the cover remains in place. This keeps counter operations moving during busy shifts.
3.Cutouts Aligned to All Necessary Cable Access Points : Port positions are mapped before tooling and used as reference points for the mold, ensuring cables can be connected without removing or adjusting the case.
1.Industry Compatibility:
Retail & Payment : POS terminals in stores, supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants requiring device protection
Logistics & Delivery : Handheld POS devices used in field operations, delivery services, and mobile payment scenarios
Unattended & Self-Service : Kiosk terminals, self-checkout devices, and automated payment stations
2.Core Product Application Scenarios:
Retail Store POS Terminals for Daily Handling : Anti-slip silicone case protects devices from drops and impacts during busy checkout operations, with moderate grip reducing handling fatigue for cashiers
High-Volume Checkout Terminals with Receipt Printing : Paper roll access without removing the cover reduces downtime during peak transaction periods
Multi-Location Deployments with Cable Connections : Unobstructed cable port access allows the case to remain in place during maintenance or peripheral changes
